About LongHorn Steakhouse

LongHorn Steakhouse began in 1891 in Atlanta, Ga., as an eatery called LongHorn Steaks Restaurant & Saloon. George McKerrow Jr. founded the restaurant with a passion for perfect steak. The original restaurant gained sudden popularity because of a legendary snowstorm in 1982. During that storm, travelers who were stranded by the snow and ice found themselves at LongHorn and couldn’t say enough good things about the expertly-grilled steak. In 2007, LongHorn Steakhouse was purchased by Darden Restaurants. With over 450 locations, LongHorn Steakhouse is known for its Western/Texas theme and its great steak, ribs, chicken and seafood.
